Inspect the outer surface coating and inner wall anti-corrosion treatment of the pipe for uniformity and completeness, and ensure all markings are complete. The outer surface should be smooth and flat, without cracks, dents, or other defects; the socket should be free of burrs, casting marks, and peeling of the anti-corrosion layer; the inner wall should be uniformly smooth, without cracks or obvious peeling of the anti-corrosion layer.
Measure the socket diameter, pipe length, and wall thickness of the ductile iron pipe to check if they meet standard specifications. Different specifications and grades of ductile iron pipes have different parameter information; confirm the pipe's grade and specifications before inspection.
Samples can be requested from the manufacturer upon delivery, or random samples can be taken on-site and sent to a third-party testing center for testing.
Metallographic Structure and Mechanical Property Testing: The metallographic structure, tensile strength, and Brinell hardness of the ductile iron pipes are tested to assess whether properties such as spheroidization, toughness, hardness, and strength meet the requirements.
Hydraulic Pressure Test: After installing a section of pipe on-site, the pipeline is pressure-tested to check its pressure resistance and sealing performance.
